Kusadama

I'm remembering the beautiful Origami Kusadama Ball my sister made for me and then gave to me on the eve of my wedding.

The ball consists of several paper flowers which are then strung together to form a ball. This was an ancient Japanese custom and used as a talisman to ward off evil spirits and bring good fortune.
It still hangs from my wardrobe door and occasionally a naughty pusscat tries to bat it with her paws!!
