I love transferware pottery. Especially coloured patterns like pink, brown and this gorgeous pea green.
I'm still buzzing at this latest discovery in the local charity shop. Two soup tureens and six soup bowls, perfect condition. Made by Johnsons Brothers. I actually think these pieces are not that old but have used an old transfer pattern called "Old London" which depicts the Horse Guards parade in St James's Park on the bowls and Big Ben on the tureen lids.
Love the London images. Sometimes I'm staggered at what people will leave at the charity shop but I guess, 'one mans meat...' and all that!
